what do you reckon?

Dont see too many elms in these here parts (almost exclusively in hedgerows, maxing about 10"dbh 30'tall before DED gets them...) so i'm not too hot on my ident...

 

Anyways, i'm pretty sure this is elm, and with the pretty equal base of the leaves, and geographical location, i'd say Ulmus Angustifolia (cornish elm). However I'm questioning this due to the size of the tree (ma-hoosive)

 

What say you exprerienced elm identifiers?

Our native elms are a real pain to ID correctly.

 

Firstly, the species show a lot of natural variation and then add to that they're a promiscuous bunch and hybridise easily.

 

In short, it's an elm and I dunno which one :blushing:
