good old dogs, i remember many years ago, before i was married, my mum had proudly displayed her crown derby in the bay window - big mistake, some scum tried to jimmy the window - unbeknown to them our english bull terrier was asleep underneath, - she was a little deaf ,but soon woke up to bite them on the trouser leg as they tried to get in, my brother jumped out of bed with y fronts on and chased them down the street - a sight to be seen! with bull terrier in full flow all the street heard that one! but they must have been good runners as they got away from both dog and man, and my brother is mega fit runner

Buy yourself a Bullman-esq throwing axe. Talking to the next door but one farmer this morning, apparently someone tried to break in to his place a early morning on sunday. His son ran out of the house with a starting pistol (gun dogs) firing blanks in the air, soon got them moving :L

I'll stick with the dogs as weaponry. If they're either brave enough or stupid enough to take on my two French Mastiffs then go ahead. Once they are past them they'll have to deal with me and I'm never too impressed with being disturbed from my hard earned slumber. Not sure about the rules in the UK but there's been a couple of test cases here recently where burglers and armed robbers in particular have been injured by the property owner during the attempted theft. One was a couple of guys who tried to rob a gun shop and one of them was shot in the stomach by the owner during the attempt. police thought about pressing charges against the property owner but the judge threw out the charges before it got to court. I don't condone shooting people etc but I do believe in the right to defend your own.
