Hamadryads diary- a new chapter

Recommended Posts

My boss found this one for me today, he took a photo on his phone and well, I just had to see it so popped round after work. The tree is so vital, and although there is some decay in the older roots this tree is pretty solid. It does need reduction to retain it in the long haul and will follow up if we get the oportunity.

To say this made my week is an under statement, only the second time ive witnessed such a prolific fruiting.:001_cool:

Wow, that's some prolific annual fruiting. If one only could have a look inside this ash (?) to determine how much wood of the central column and how many radial rays (dormant cracks) are gone and to check the inner structure of the tree and its stability besides the shell of sap wood rings keeping the tree upright and looking healthy.
