Ah yes, I didn't see the hitch on the front.

A perfect prototype! Long live the British entrepreneurial spirit!!

Yes indeed, it is the quintessential english thing to do, a mad eccentric bloke tinkering in a shed at the bottom of the garden to create a thing to solve a thing!

Good old dibnah, kept that alive he did:thumbup:

Old Fred was firmly rooted in the past, he had a deep passion for the standards and values of the Victorian era and there is nothing wrong with that in itself.

Before he became a broadcaster he spent most of his life repairing and restoring anything that was over a hundred years old, things that other people made.

The innovators are people like Baylis and Dyson.

is it strong enough to pull it through the friction knot? or can it only take the loose end?

Cheers, Gareth

Good question Gareth but even if it won't pull rope through the friction knot it's still infinitely better than having a lanyard tail getting caught up around ankles, saw pod, branches, stubs, forks, chainsaw etc.

As I'm sure you'll agree.

ahh yes i do agree! the loop under the knee is my favourite.... but if it could! batman himself would envy the retractability of the device and dyson would be asking for a cut.
