Hear what you're saying but are all your regulars virgins in as much as they never had logs from anyone else first? How do you know this bloke wouldn't have become your best customer once he'd sampled your product and service?

 

Just seems odd to turn it down IF you did have the wood and the time to do it.

Because I could tell his type, you get to know them and ok he may have become my best customer but on the flip side he may not and then one of my regulars might of not got any logs, I don't have an endless stock of dry wood you see it's all on rotation so I really have to be careful as to who I sell to.

I have to mate, I have fallen for the "can I have some logs before Christmas and I will get them off you all the time" routine in the past, took a guy some out on Christmas Eve a few years back, I even put them in his shed, he paid and said what a good load and he'd get them again, never heard from him again and I've seen him getting it of other people since so I decided to just look after my regulars.
