Hows the log sales going now

6 cubes this week, quiet! enjoyed checking out some bigger/faster machines at JasP Wilson last Saturday, time to re-think our log cutting system etc, trailer being serviced, repairs on buildings etc. Lots to do if not delivering logs!

 

Hi STEPH makes me wonder why you need a bigger processor if like others dealers log dealers the logs answer wonder why are you need a bigger processor if like others dealers log dealers the logs are selling why go bigger thanks John

If you go for a big machine you need big cord or it's not worth it. If I'm putting 15inch through the 12 way on the takfun you can do a bag in less than 10 mins start putting first thinings through it and your down to 3 bags an hour. I'm going to get another farmi for sub 8 inch it's got to be the quickest on smaller stuff. Just wish it had chain oil not hydro as breathing that in can't be good.

Hi why does it use hedro oil for the chain surely it just flies off,is it using the oil from the hydraulic functions if so do you have to keep topping it up.

Its a great machine but as you pointed out cris the hotter the machine gets the less efficient the oil becomes. Plus with the health imprecations its just not right.

 

I want a small machine to run alongside the Tajfun filling the same bag with large and small cord appeals to me i reckon you could do a cube every 4 mins with both machines.

 

Yes you do have to top it up reg
