Thanks guys that’s really helpful.

My current insurance (NFU) provides full comp insurance for any driver including the 17 year old lad, who I might add has rebuilt several land rovers over the years and has a 40 year old head on his shoulders – good as gold. Having said that I do have a Health & Safety duty and therefore will provide full training from a specialist company like ParkAgri, who happen to be on our doorstep.

Anybody know what sort of MPG 170hp unimog produces?

8 to 12, less when working very hard.

Huck do you find that when your mog is fully loaded and driving up steep hills the engine temp fises from around 80 degrees to 90-95 ?

 

No, you may need to clean you radiator.
