Silverside = 50cc

Orangeside = 45cc:thumbdown:

 

The orange cover is still good but the Silverside is more sought after - this one will be muffler modded, ported and tuned - going to enjoy this and hopefully do a report on its progress.

 

Just hope it all comes together.

Purchased one earlier for a bit more as a non runner but the cylinder is a little scored - want one to tune up and hopefully this one will be good enough to do - will do a post on what I do and how it turns out in a while!

 

A few saws come up in Devon - guess it is farming country!

It arrived today - looks pretty dirty and generally well used for a 2009 saw but on the good side, the piston is clean and I can still see the hone marks on the cylinder which is great.

 

The rim sprocket is shot, the exhaust only has one bolt locating it but that was in the description, the sprocket bearing needs replacing and the whole saw needs a damn good clean but it starts, has 160psi compression and starts - Oh - the decomp is missing it's head and the bar end is worn - loose chain wear.

 

Came with a box of 12pcs 4.8mm so reckon overall I did fine.

 

I have another 346 with a nearly new crankcase but the cylinder isn't the best, this cylinder will go on that saw, be ported, squished and a muffler mod and that will be a keeper, this one will be cleaned, serviced, new piston and sold so all looks good on planet Spud!
