We were discussing the virtues of hydraulic saws the other week, soooo quiet!

 

but only as quiet as the power pack running it

could be worth a try, if it kills the engine i'll tell him to buy a real saw next time. to be fair its only used to cut the occasional few logs so it shouldnt stress the engine too much.

 

Il ask mick when i get into work 2moro, but im sure he'l just laugh:biggrin:

If you're just logging you could set up some screens to deflect the noise a bit.

Or get one of those noise cancelling machines you hear about in tomorrows world type programs:001_tt2:

It's funny but I don't notice chainsaw noise when I'm using one but when someone else is- then it does grate a bit!!

In my village, if anyone hears one they think it is me but 9 times out of 10 it isn't:001_rolleyes:

i remember me and my mate ringing up a huge sycamore but , 395 and 371 next to each other, stopped to refill the saws and noticed a very annoyed neihbour having quiet drinks in the garden with some very posh friends...oops

quality,, i did somthing similar but i had 3 big electric breakers working in a line simaltaniously haha,,, wernt my fault,, wanted to get it done
