For your budget might I suggest a bike known as a Land Rider. Not allowed to post a link I guess, just google land rider, should come up. I bought one 5 years ago and love it. I will tell you that the auto shift transmission does take some getting to know but it beats having to shift manually. Current price here in the states $300 to $500 depending on make and model, not sure if available in UK market. Good Hunting!

If your after a good bike you will already know but be very careful if you go seconhan you won't believe how many are nicked. My mate bought one first ride out at local downhill track someone stopped him saying that's my bike and rang police! He only rode it 100 yrd

cost him 400quid expensive ride haha

PLEASE dont support those monkeys in the halfords bike department.....They may be cheap, but their so-called trained technicians are generally morons. I have seen mountain bikes with forks fitted the wrong way round comng out of that shop FFS!!!!

 

 

its BS fellas, go to an indipendant specialist and get more for your money promise. as for the cost sign up for the bike to work scheme and get 40% off your bike purchase!:thumbup:
