Hi there- kindly tree surgeons. I have joined this forum to find out if there are any tree surgeons any of you could recommend that might be willing to attempt a cat rescue in Bristol please?

I too have just read the amazing story about the cat rescued after 12 days- with abseiling gear.

I have already contacted the RSPCA and they will conduct a site visit- but they are being a bit slow, so i wanted to pass on the name of a willing tree surgeon to them if possible to speed up the process of cat rescue.

So far the cat has been up there for two days- about to spend its third night up the tree.

Tree type- three dense fir trees. I have alread tried climbing up myself, but the ladder was not long enough and the branches too thick for me to reach the cat without chopping some branches down, and i am not an expert.

Cat is about 30-40 ft up. it is mobile and can move between the trees at the same level but cannot come down. Its mews are getting weaker today, and i am very worried about it.

Any help or advice is much appreciated.

And sorry for joing this thread/forum for such an obscure reason.

Thank you in advance.

Thanks so much for your help. I hope the cat doesn't jump out of the tree- it might break it's little legs. There are two huskies on one side- which we think scared it up- either that or the foxes that also run around day and night. I did put some stinky fish out to tempt it down, but found the plastic container dragged half way across my garden-as i think it provided a nice meal for said foxes.

Anyway, thanks for all your help. And Carl has been in touch.
