looking at perhaps purchasing a second hand machine somewhere and any opinions are well welcome. I've only used a bigger brand new vermeer chipper for a few days which was good and a new big ass grinder so not really sure what i'll be getting for 5K??????????

5k is too much for a 625i. I have a soft spot for the litle vermeer, used one for years.

But £5k? way way too much. I have a nice 2004 TP200 for the same money, 8 inch capacity, 50hp hatz, twinaxle chassis & turntable.

Great first chipper I reckon.Well built, simple and reliable. All the bits are easy to service or replace yourself if needed.Just a bit unstable when driving off kerbs and such like, but remember that and you'll have no worries.

I had a TP200 on a single axle (no turntable/side feed) for abour 18 months, one of the best chippers i've ever had.

A friend has one of those, alot of machine for the money and simple to fix - nothing fany about it......
