A first for me today after twenty years of spoiling trees, i dropped my saw onto my strop and when i went to pick it up again the saw had pinballed (target audience:001_tt2:) to the base of the tree leaving me with a saw strop that had come apart at the stitching. has any one else had this problem? confused1:

They are designed to break off before they pull you out of the tree if the saw gets stuck in the cut ! Had a few do it now even a few week old strop !! I always replace now about every 6-8 months... First three I had break were well over a year and half old .

Trick is not to drop the saw on your strop then, innit.

Actually, I now have a large caritool clip on each side of the harness and find this saves me a lot of hassle, a lot of energy and a bit of time.

And Money! never had a strop break never dropped a saw on one to find out either.
