You can eat the flowers so it has some value even if it does take over the garden!

 

 

I did not know that!

 

I also find the comments regarding the sap interesting, as this has a relative called the varnish/laquer tree which has VERY serious side effects not dissimilar to those mentioned and making the skin sensitive to light for life afterwards.

 

I heard 1 case of three arbs getting 100k in compensation after serious injuries due to this species.

suffice to say stay well clear of this one!:thumbdown:

 

it would seem they are no longer classed as rhus, maybe genetic works have seperated them?:confused1:
