hi guys, massive favour to ask. my oldest sister is getting married next weekend and we had on order 15 japanese willows to decorate the marquee... of course after 3 months on order the nursery have turned round with 5 days to go and (in more polite terms than was said) said they cant help.

basically looking for 15-20 trees, andy broadleafe species of about 2meter height and as bushy/ un whip-like as possible. topiary trees are lookin £100 plus so too much and garden center ones are too bare to make a visual impact.weddings in cambridge but londons the 'base camp'

anyone got any ideas or advice to help me sis going of the walls would be so so so much apprieciated!

Chill & forget the trees. They wont make the day any more special. Just up the flower order a bit.

Well said :thumbup1:. I always thought getting married was about showing your love and devotion to your other half, not keeping the wedding planners in a luxury lifestyle.

If you do get desperate and HAVE to get the trees so the ceremony can look like the Royal's recent one, try Barchams.

Why do they have to be bushy? As an example, why not get some smaller Buxus, all cut the same, ie, Balls, and have a ribbon of whatever colour scheme the bride has tied around them? Would look alright.

I have to laugh at the posts about love, and not material HA HA, if the Crazy Bride wants the Bushes, get her the bushes lol.

Just go and fell the first scraggy willow you see that morning and stick the branches into pots,:thumbup1: they will probably be 3 foot taller by the time they have a kiss:biggrin:
