I've had these boots for over a year now, closer to two come to think of it. Never proofed them and they have never let me down. Always had dry feet even in the winter that we had last year. I can't rate them high enough, they take a little bit of wearing in but I reckon for me they're the best boots I've ever had. A mate of mine reckons that the Meindls are very good but they are quite a narrow fit.

Hope this helps.

I can second all of the above. Great boots.:thumbup1:

I have a pair of Haix protector lights and hate them, Feet are always cold in the morning the grip doesn't last long eyelets have snapped off the boot, they constantly come undone, once pulled my foot straight out of the boot when climbing. They are rubbish with spikes, only good point is that they are light.

I have had the Meindl Wadlaufer for 12 months now, I have wide feet and they dont bother me. Nice boots reasonable weight and support especially when fitted with 'Superfeet Green' insoles, I will have another pair of Meindls when I'm ready. Just wish 'Lundhags' made chainsaw boots, now they would be immense:001_cool:
