Welcome to the forum mate. Best of luck with the job hunt, dont entertain £50 a day, anyone who is offering that is takin the P! £70 is a good startin point, £80 once you've proved your worth. It's worth going employed with a firm like fountains for a year or so to gain experience, or until something better comes up with another company. Its tough out there at the mo, as you'll see in the employment section.

Don't be put off though, someone will give you a start.

9 weeks training and £70 per day

Many thanks for the sensible answers! :thumbup:it gives me a good starting point.

I'm 39 years young so my days of going gung ho with a chainsaw are way behind me, I respect my own kit as it doesn't come cheap and treat anybody elses with the same respect. I don't expect to be on top whack after 9 weeks and no experience just a fair wage for my hard graft, if it was money I was after then I wouldn't of left my old job!

With my age also comes a clean pre 1995 driving license with all categories on, surely that shoud earn me an extra £1 a day!!
