Thanks Stephen, it has some very nice bits on it, its an 'old school chop', which I will preserve, but it's going to get 'refined', this one is big enough for Felix, I reckon he would look a right Hotty on it!

Yeah...get mousses! Had 3 sets now in various ktms and never looked back. No more punctures for me!

Ebay is ok for an inner tube, check the tyre size, type it in looking for a heavy duty inner tube, Maxxis are good, but any mainstream manufacturer will be ok, or a good bike/ tyre shop will do it for you if your new to tyre changing,it's a doddle with good levers & a bit of lube, but dont use washing up liquid, the salt will rot your rims.

What's always put me off mousses is that they aren't just fit and forget (unless you can afford to replce them regularly), the other thing being that, supposedly, they aren't legal to use on the road either.

 

I've tended to use the cheap h/d ones from MD racing and so far been OK for punctures this last couple of seasons. Like Geoff says though, any of the mainstream manufactures will do a good h/d one.

 

Do you run rimlocks Stevie?

 

Itching to get out on the bikes again - not ridden for a month or so (the little DR expired on day two of Ryedale ) but hopefully out on the KTM in a week or so.

As long as you lube them up every so often they are fine. Id rather do that every 5/6 months (or when putting new tyres on which can be monthly) then worry about a puncture everytime I go out!
