Is any1 using a prusik knot with a pulley for a lanyard,if so has any1 got any pics floating about.just changing over from petzl rope grab and interested to see what every1 else is using.cheers

Not a prusik but it is what I use. I find hitch adjusters with a pulley to be much superior to mechanicals for this useage.

The rope grab is useless as a lanyard adjuster. Friction hitch with tender pulley is much better.

 

Only reason I'm on a mechanical is so I can use it choked, in a single line application. Cant really do that with a hitch.

I had a try for a while on a Petzl Grillon ,but much prefer a hitch and pully ,i just feel more in control when letting it off while lying back . But i think it's probably like a Lockjack ,you just have to get a feel for it.

I have used all manor of tricks and found the petzl grillon to be spot on to some one who cant use it correct it will seam uncontrolled when released it just takes practice.

 

Its lighter to imo.
