Adrian flux know what a landrover looks like. CIS do not insure modified vehicles as I found out 5 years ago. If it has to go in a modified tell them every thing fitted non standered fit. A note to all with landrover tippers landrover didn't make tippers so are modified?.

My previous landy was a special vehicles division factory tipper, so completely stock in tipping form.

looks like Aviva is the way to go. All this makes me think...Arbtalk is a great medium for things like this, I wonder if we can use this to lever things like insurance?. Its all a bit 'hit or miss', insurers seem to think they can charge what they like (have you ever know your premium to stay the same from last year?). The insurers could be influenced by all of us working together when asking for quotes...just a radical idea! :)

gulp...just got quoted £918 for a 130 tipper with Aviva...the cheapest I've had is £850. I've got a Disco commercial insured at £580 at the mo (with another named driver), they've just quoted £781!. insurance...what a scam :(

Yes its absolutely disgusting, the age thresholds are very annoying, I saved over £500 including 2x cancellation fees by cancelling and re starting the policies on my trucks on my 25th birthday.

Also it's a right pain that Aviva won't mirror my no claims due to having more than myself and my partner named even though the vehicle I want them mirrored two has the exact same set of drivers as the one with the NCB on it, makes no sense to me.
