no was just 1 that appeared:confused1: we cut by hand, hedging type material on the edge of a plantation and a couple of hours into chipping clang! was careful because of old barbed wire and newer stock fence and had caught a bit of wire earlier but …. happens

Chipping someone elses top link isn't as bad as chipping your own.

 

I am reminded of a team in Mid-Devon that managed to chip their own jockey wheel.

 

legendary.

 

I bet they got sick of explaining how they managed that one.....

i have ran myself over with my own quad before:blushing:, only to be trumped by my dad who did it with his quad AND trailer!!!!:lol:

Its has been a while….. but have stripped all the blade holders down and damage seems to be limited to 1 broken blade, 1 compacted blade holder, 5 grub screws have thread stripped in the adjusting nut, some slight dents in the rotor and in the anvil hope to sort dents with angle grinder, so minor repair to holder I will replace all the grub screws and nuts and blade bolts as part of ongoing maintenance, will try to get pics of bent and dented bits, as Alex Price my hiezohack dealer said pretty god dam resilient really !!

Here we are pics of compacted blade holder , dented rotor where the teeth are held, hole in the screen ( hardox ) ! anvil trauma. any other of our chippers I think would have been written off, the hiezohack almost unscathed part from a bit of tidying up and 1 new blade.

ha ha i used to work for a firm in newton abbot (that has since changed its name) one team managed to chip an entire 19mm lowering rope and several strops and woopie slings , their reply to the boss when he asked was - we didnt realise until we heard the turbo on the tractor kick in :laugh1:
