Dont worry m8. Most council guys are tarred with the same brush. Although i work for a council, we are different to the highways guys. We work in all weathers and will not stop until the job is complete.

one of my customers ask us to wear yellow long sleeved tops and orange hivis trouses (chain saw)

Bees and Wasps do like Yellow unlike Orange. (I laughed that the FC always wore Yellow helmets and were pestered by bugs)

 

Orange is more visible in different light conditions.

Our Hi Viz for what its worth . Do prefer orange though .

It has to be orange as far as i'm concerned! We are foresters and arb people, not council workers or recovery people. More to the point every time i see a tranny and a yellow high vis vest jumps out of it by the side of the road, i always think 'p*key'. That seems to be the case down this end.
