I've seen you move like that Rupe!!

 

An it was on a VT! :001_smile: But you did say to me that it very rarely self-tends quite as sweetly as it was that day.

 

I am attracted by the lack of fiddling/tweaking the SJ would require, but having spent an hour on 1 once felt I'd never be able to climb the same way as I can on A VT. If I could I'd switch straight away!!

 

Well thank you sir, I'm too modest!!

 

I think I remember, I had the slackest VT ever which would hardly grip, great for comp climbing!! Basically a new hitch that has not bedded in yet is best!

no i dont. i have tried it in the past, and appreciated that it needed more time to adjust to than i was prepared to give it so didnt really give it a fair go. However the spiderjack seems to have a friction device on it which im guessing makes it easier to get used to. ive been on friction hitches for a long time now and do fancy mixing it up a little..perhaps it will add a little fresh excitement to my climbing

nearly ordered 1 last yr but gonna borrow a nearly new 1 this week hopefully.

give it time im told and it works like a dream.

 

like steve ive spent plenty of time with hitches,really engoying my knut at the mo but the spiderjack looks like a lot of fun to learn.

 

hitches or mechanical,that video is pure class.

 

hes an english guy living in oz,he finished second to scott forest last wk end in the sydney prelims.

will be interesting to see how he gets on in the worlds this year with it.
