Have spoke to my local dealer regarding t540xp release date he tells me it should have been in the spring but they (husqvarna) are having trouble getting it to run on the aspen fuel and release may be delayed until late summer!!!!!

Rumours indeed!! Yes its been delayed more than I would have liked, no it has nothing to do with Aspen (why would it?), and no the 560/562 isn't delayed anyway (only ever planned for August).

 

The T540XP contrary to many amazing rumours I have heard is not (and never has been) in production until July, it has been held up due to the factory wanting to get it absolutley right before they release it. Due to the 'performance' of previous models we cannot run the risk of releasing something that doesn't perform 100% correctly from the off.

Saw one today on the husky stand at Woodfest, the guy said they are waiting for stihl to release the 201t then it'll be out soon after. Not a reassuring sight when the guy demoing the saw took 5 mins to get it running, just didnt want to start! Just hope the full production ones aren't like that....
