The sad truth is you cant. Any determined tea leaf after the thousands of pounds worth of kit will come prepared. Padlocks can be picked, cut or lanced off, heck i even have my own lockpick set. Same with chains, wheel clamps etc.

Just make it as hard as you can use mutiple locks the longer it takes the better, noise is a good tactic place a bell/heavy chain on the underside of the chipper as they drive off, lift it onto a lorry it'll make a racket. Any loud noise is good. Get an alam that texts you too.

Can you put the pigs in with the machinery overnight? Sounds daft but a pig farmer hold me they will literally eat you alive if you fall over...could be useful....???

I have been using the Henry Krank alarm mines for a couple of years now an by Christ do they work! Someone sets one of these bleeders off in the middle of the night they sure do know about it! Alarm Mine 12g Trip Wire

When i first installed them i did wonder if they would be a sufficient deterrent but after them been tripped on a couple of occasions within the first couple of months i have not had any problem for over a year with the thieving ******.

Deffo worth giving them a try... You can buy the blank cartridges there too and it is all perfectly legal

All the best.
