Good on you for getting started. Don't invest too much time or more money on the chip board box as it won't last.

Beefed up springs are irrelevant, the GVW is 3.5T regardless. (unless you're springs are made of angel dust!)

It's not what the vehicle can carry, it's what you're allowed to carry.

My first van was just like yours, great van but when I went on a weigh bridge one day I was truly horrified how overloaded I was with what I considered to be half a load. Be careful or you'll get a big fine and points.

i know ,i wont be carrying much on it, its overloaded with my pack lunch on the back, dont worry ive used lorrys, unimogs, etc ,i know the score! they just dont rock about like a boat with the bigger springs! i dont have a chipper yet so im throwing the brush on and cutting it up ! its just nice to have it contained as we all know brush is lighter as you cant get as much on.

Nice job,on my first transit when I started self employment I had a top board you could take off on large wing nuts for when I hired a chipper or could stand on for hedges,Night mare when cross cutting in the back though you had to hold your breath for exhaust fumes.
