Didn't we agree that algae was the lungs of the earth?

Maybe algae was somthing to do with carbon.

I love carbon, probably my favourite element.

Doesnt the Tiger Forest in the Arctic provide a quarter of the worlds Oxygen??

I think it depends on what web site you look at and which 'expert in their field' has produced the latest paper.

The last I heard it was BOC.

i once asked the question on here that never even got 1 reply, so maybe you might be able to answer it for me Tony.

What is the daily growth world wide of plants and trees v the cutting down of said trees this includes animals eating aswell.

Forestry in the UK only cuts down 40% of its sustainable yield in a year. So for example if the trees grow 10 inches in a year, we only cut down 4 inches.

That doesnt take into account tree surgery or anything like that or tree planting and im not sure about the rest of the world. I know south america is cutting alot of trees down to make room for cattle for beef production.

Imagine the world as a business, if we all thought everything was rosey we would lie about all day sleeping, and that business wouldn't do very well.

with the power of media and telly they can keep us all living in fear and spending money, so ditch the fungi books for a roll of tin foil and get a steal pot on your head aswell.

big brothers watching

The Tiger forest is pretty vast.

BOC=British Oxygen Company

Thats were I get all my oxygen.......... and acetylene.:001_tongue:

I think people worry about trees too much, they will be here long after we are dead and/or departed from the Earth.

We only live for a very short period of time, if that pop is spoiling our view then fell it!!!!:thumbup:
