Hi thanks for the PM, I've listed below some items to get you started. This book is a good start as well.

Book: Tree Climbers Companion | F R Jones and Son

and this knot card should be some help.

Waterproof Knot Card | F R Jones and Son

If you can get yourself to any of the shows come and see me and I'll sort you out with someone to get you up and down a tree trying the stuff first if that helps.

For the VT

DMM Hitch climber pulley (brass bush) | F R Jones and Son

You will need 2 of these. Petzl M33TL oval karabiner (aluminium) | F R Jones and Son

Ocean Polyester eye 2 eye | F R Jones and Son

Lanyard

Art Lockjack Positioner with swivel | F R Jones and Son

+ some rope and 2 x Krabs

I'm well into a bottle of wine here, so if I've missed anything someone shout.:001_smile:

If you want to try it out without shelling out the money in case you don't get on with it, you can do it quite easily with a couple of normal HMS biners which you probably have lying around. The oval biners just make it easier to clip/unclip as you can rotate the bottom one round to make attachment easier. I just use one oval for the bottom biner and a dmm 'lynx' that i already had for the top one.
