I started a job at 9.27 am in one of the rougher areas of Manchester, and within minutes an unshaved half dressed resident came bursting out through his front door and demanded to know what kind of time I called this. I checked my watch, politely replied "almost 9.30", and got on with the job. Didnt see him again.

When it's really hot we like to get out as soon as possible, get stuck in early so you can afford to slow down when it starts warming up. If we suspect it's going to be a scorcher the next day i contact the client/tenant etc and ask politely what is the earliest we can start, explain why you are asking and most seem happy to let you start a little earlier than they expected.

On site by 7 and start making noise about 7:30, no complaints so far...
