Hi Guys,

I am wondering if anyone knows where I can hire a log splitter.

Regards

Mark

If you do not have to do a lot try one of these

Thanks for your replies. I will look into this place near Dundonald. I used to live there so I think I know the one.

It is only around 4m3 of chestnut but there is other stuff as well.

Normally it is split by hand. My dad heats his greenhouses with a wood burner. I bring in the wood (cut to length) and then he splits it in his own time. However he has recently been told he has a heart problem and the surgeon told him no more axe work. I would split it myself, actually I enjoy it, but I simply don't have the time to bring in the logged wood and then split by hand. I would love to but I travel for my job and I have a wife/family who might object to me spending every weekend at my dads.

Fair play to you, but 4m3 you could easily do in a morning. i would have thought someone local would do it for less than you can hire a splitter.
