What do you yell?

Always "Below" if you're working and yell "Heads" most people just look up.....

 

 

I normaly tell the groundie first then below.

I shall remember that one if I am ever driving a crane wile your up a tree, I will keep shouting “Below” “Below” then smile as you keep looking down just as I clonk you on the head with the hook!

Ha ha!! Fair point!!! As someone else has said, better to get everything clear on the ground first, but, 9 times out of 10, you shout heads and some Numpet will freeze like a rabbit in the headlights and slowly raise their heads!!! As a rule, you want everyone who is on the ground to took up when they hear the saw cutting, then you know somethings coming.....

heads, but shout before the wood is falling, ideally, although when the numpty groundie pulled the bull rope and ripped the large pulley out of my hand yesterday, it was a choice of other words! Also if a particularly large branch is dropped, it usually gets a response from the whole team, of BOOM! when it lands!
