When out doing the alps tour one of our guys had a td5 110 on the way up to valdesere the tubo let go it sheared the shaft one end so it wouldnt spin ! was slugish and well smoked well !

also could be something like the mass air flow sensor on its way out or kaked up then it will be sending the ecu the wrong info there is also a crank speed sensor on the bell housing and i have heard that this can collect muck on it (i think its amagnetic proximity sensor ) and also give false readings and people who have cleaned it report it makes a good difference

The MAF sensor on my td5 dose nothing, my old one broke and I didn’t relies until I got a nanocom, then got a working MAF sensor just to see and it made no difference even though its confirmed as working and my td5 runs very well considering its standard regardless of if the MAFs is working, disconnected or removed lol

Common faults on TD5's are the airflow sensor as said and the ECU/Injector harness leaking oil into the ECU.If you unplug the red plug that goes into the ECU you can see if its full of oil.

That sounds expensive:thumbdown:
