You are between the camera and the saw for the relevant bore, but it looks like you start the cut with the top quarter of the nose. I would have thought you would be better to go round the back of the tree, start the cut with the bottom quarter of the nose, and then cut up to the back of the hinge.

 

I havent worn a visor for about 3 years, for climbing, cutting, chipping or stumpgrinding.
