i didnt win the job unfoutunately, they phoned me up and said thanks for the quote but we will do it ourselves. ah well!

 

i dont think my dad would take kindly to me dumping his truck in a pond!

 

did you price in for machinery etc and this bumped the cost up?

 

theyre probabilly going to just wade in and do it....

you can see the property from the road and as i drove past an hour after they said they were doing it and i could see the telehandler near the pond.

 

i priced in for machinery and other costs, waste wasnt a huge issue as its fairly cheap but still have to price in wages and maybe hiring someone in with a chipper

Sometimes...

I feel I give clients too much info.

I tell them just how I am going to do the job and where, what etc.

Then armed with this knowledge they don't get back to me and do the bloody job themselves.

I am trying to be more cautious with my information these days and try to weave in a little prediction of danger should amateurs armed with a yellow and black chainsaw make the attempt to have a go.
