On watching the Video again, i have decided -

The hedge is comprehensively dead. No way is it recovering from that.

 

That felling like that was bad workmanship, and a bad call. I could have dismantled it in under an hour without smashing the hedge.

 

Tana, this is not a go at you, I assume it was not your call, you were there to place shackles.

I could have dismantled it in under an hour without smashing the hedge. i consider myself a quick climber when needed mr ed and if you had seen what was involved in dismantling that tree it would have been a long tough day probably day and a half and to see someone do it in a hour would of been insane,as for bad workmanship i think thats abit strong.its simple,the job was to fell and do it it safely,which is exactly what happened.as people have said before we all have to make calls and calls have to be made and its a tough industry to keep all these experinced and expert brains happy.i posted this thread to get the response i got and learn from it and i have but stand by my call.
