There's meant to be a new UK importer now too, they were at the APF and sell carabiners and pruning saws - I'm not 100% sure but think they were calld comething like Cutting Edge?

ive got a lewis winch and its good but havent used it much yet, it takes a bit of getting used to. I did get a capstan winch which is bad for tree work, i found it hard to keep pull constant on rope, avoid over wrapping rope and watching load, all at the same time. trashed a new polydyne lowering rope on first use!

I was thinking about 1 of the winches pro climber had demoing at the apf, all in one unit with honda engine so no need to get another saw. I think they are the same as the one used in the arbor trolley video.

I liked the fact you are not limited by cable length as its a capstone and has lots of mounting options.

The big skidding cone looked like it made life easier when dragging over stumps bad ground etc as less chance of a but end digging in.

Any body know how much?

love my portable winch use it to drag around 3 x 3 metre fire trays on bogs in the broads so should p*ss a few logs, the only advige i have is don't drop it in water whilst running, they don't like that....new engine job
