Ed just get some caddy pads for those spikes mate, makes them so much more comfy and the velcro works well providing you remember to double in back when you store them else saw dust sticks to it like *** to a bear.

I hate 262's. hate 3 that gave me endless problems.:sneaky2:

 

Well I'll stand up for the old 262! It has a lovely balance, not quite as nice as a 254 though.

 

I like mine, had it 11 years, its never missed a beat, only had to change wear and tear parts that you do on any saw.

 

Even with new rubbers though it sstiilll vvibraatess a biittttt if you are using it all day!!!

 

But then I pick up different saws throughout the day for different jobs.:001_smile:
