why i think cut and holdings good, everything stacked neatly from the tree, butt ends a meter from the chipper infeed, not some big birds nest at the base of the tree that pisses everyone off!

I move up with the running saw in my hand and break off

 

Imo its more efficient having the groundsperson just feeding the chipper rather than messing about pulling branches about in the drop zone, dragging and feeding, untangling ropes etc. Also it pisses me off having a mess to deal with when i come down, rather than a neat pile.

 

Also alot of the work here is just to leave the branches and cord neatly stacked under the tree, its easier to stack branches from the air using cut and hold momentum and little flicks than wrestle them on the ground

Yup! Sounds like your boss has passed on the stuff I taught him....

As a groundy I had to teach new climbers to work efficently...and that ment the whole operation not just their part!
