Someone thats actually had a fight be it in competion or the street, too many people teach martial arts that have no real understanding of how difficult it is to pull the technique off in a real live situation.

And they practise there art by what Bruce lee called "disecting the corpse" meaning in a safe enviroment with people handing you an arm or a response to your "move" this can sometimes lead to a false sence of security as you think you can do it, untill big Tam the beer monster comes swinging trying to take your head off with 10 whiskeys and some drugs in him, thats the wrong time to find out it wont work

These are only my opinion though.

If you train in a club where people are preparing before fights you won't get handed an arm mate them lads train hard to fight easy:001_tt2:

Iam in no way one of those lads tho couldn't fight for toffee

"Catchers catch can " was taught to a mate of Dads ( by the army) when he was in the Para in the war, he could clear a room of people in about 10 seconds flat. The police got so fed up with him fighting that they arrested him and produced a pistol from a draw and said the next time he was arrested that it would be found on him and he would go to prison for it :sneaky2: He taught my old man some of it and it stood him in good stead. Rest in peace Ernie Whckham

Whoa. Make sure you get a good padded groin guard!!! Krav Maga specialises in kicks to the groin. It is a very aggressive sport not for the faint hearted, kind of a mix between ju jitsu and thai boxing. Good luck force be with you Jedi warrior.

Sounds good haha I've never looked at it I'm gonna see what the crack is:thumbup:

It was explained to me the best thing to do if someone attacked me with a knife was run and when available pick up a brick or similar- then if they are still chasing turn and hold it up - the point being the attacker could face a brick in the face and hopefully backs off.

Never done it though:001_smile:
