Did you know that if you are provided with a uniform for your job you can get a tax rebate for having to wash it? My good lady has pointed this out to me and I thought I'd pass it on to you lot.

I've always claimed for cleaning costs, one of my legitimate ones as my friend at HMRC pointed out. I think he was just being picky about the polos and the Rizlas tbh.

For those that are self employed, I think you can claim tax relief for cleaning vehicles. (used to be able to anyway) For example, approx a fiver every week for keeping your vehicle clean by taking it to a car wash. Correct me if I'm wrong as I keep meaning to check.

Yes, I forgot to say that I think you could do this as a cash payment and not necessarily get a receipt and is still ok to add to the books.
