Did you know that if you are provided with a uniform for your job you can get a tax rebate for having to wash it? My good lady has pointed this out to me and I thought I'd pass it on to you lot.

think you can claim £6 per week and possibly back date for 3 years

my accountant printed the form for my gf to claim

you can get the form from the IR website

For those that are self employed, I think you can claim tax relief for cleaning vehicles. (used to be able to anyway) For example, approx a fiver every week for keeping your vehicle clean by taking it to a car wash. Correct me if I'm wrong as I keep meaning to check.

If your SE you can claim all expenses that are genuinely incurred in order to do your work.

 

Yes, I forgot to say that I think you could do this as a cash payment and not necessarily get a receipt and is still ok to add to the books.
