Probably easier to pickup one of those cheapy Kral things and use compressed air.

If you don't know the answers to any of the questions, you don't have to reply.

I’d say take off for storage. I’ve had a couple of crossman toys over the years for the kids and from memory 40-50 decent shots was the norm. For what the canisters cost I’d not even consider leaving it hooked up, I’d not be suprised if they leaked out to zero anyway over time.

Perfect, thank you.

I know the answer perfectly well, I've had several including the pistol version and you'll soon realise they're a PITFA because it's Co2 and you pretty much use it all or replace next time you drag it out the drawer or spend hours removing a corroded capsule.

It's like an expensive smoking habit, switch to compressed air and you can leave it for months and it's still ready to go and won't leave one stuck in the barrel.

So maybe listen for a change and you'll actually learn something, several of us here have been there got the t shirt and rolled it up and drop kicked it into the scrap bin.

Yeah that's the thing with Co2.

If you change your mind about continuing shooting 5 shots into a canister, you waste the whole thing anyhow.

I had a Co2 revolver as a kid,it always ran out/ was out of gas when I wanted to use it.

Anyhoo here is my Lee Speed in 303 brit, bore is a bit shabby and shooting ammo made for Browning Aircraft MG's isn't the best but here is 8 shot offhand at 100m.

I need to fi d some heavier bullets because it shoots awfully high.

Would it be easier to just reduce the powder charge if you're reloading or pulling the heads ?.

Guessing it must be pretty vintage ammo?

In theory that would work. But to drop the impact 12" would reduce the velocity enough for it to be inhumane and probably below the required velocity for the bullets to expand  significantly.

Also accuracy could be total pants. The 174grn service bullets are 30% lighter than what this Rifle was ment for.

Guess when your feeding a machine gun, you're not particularly bothered about projectile weight.

Never really thought they would be any lighter than the standard rounds, being a NATO standard and all that jazz.

.303 isn't a NATO round. Most .303s I've seen shoot high at short ranges, you can change the front sight blade on SMLEs, would that be an option? I don't know that particular rifle.

I knew it wasn't 5.56 or 7.62, but just assumed they made military ammo to basic weight and spec instead of lighter/heavier, excluding the more specialist tracers etc obviously.

What ammo you looking for Mike. There’s a decent variety of bullet weights to be had over here. You tried Henry Krank’s
