transit connect use to drive one daily nice little van,never drove an ldv but my dad used to have a Bedford midi colum change,it was like learning to drive all over again,once had a dodge simca pickup,now that was a truck.

I have an ldv luton(with tail lift), with no power steering. Its my favourite van i have ever owned, goes like the wind and makes me laugh just driving around in it

I get a similar buzz from my cabstar,no one ever wants to drive her cause shes so querky,rattles a plenty squeaks in abundence but she earns me a living and seldom complains,im still looking for the female equivilent,but alas i think no such beast exists.

it's a laugh driving the funny vehicles I worked at a place had a really old transit was a proper mess we reckoned it was a cut and shut and called it the fun bus! You had to bounce on the seat while turning the key to start it. It was a bad battery connection under the seat but why fix it that would spoil the fun ha

I used to drive a LWB, high-roof 17 seater LDV minibus full of drunken students home around Manchester in the late 90's.

 

Believe me, whatever anyone says about the manoevrability of them, when you have got half a busload of drunk students in the middle of an area that makes Moss Side look like leafy Surbiton, you can make an LWB LDV do a three point turn!!
