Now your coming round to my way of thinking

There are far too many scratters, scroungers and layabouts for my liking. People perfectly capable of earning their way in life but choose not to.

As for fuel....I've just saved a bit by walking down to the yard to get my tractor out and bring it up home for when M Large deliver my brand spanking new splitter......cool beans :001_smile:

I will then be able to split logs and save on gas and eventually the world will be safe because of me

try using your axe and save un-nessecary fuel,,,send the shiney splitter back and donate the money to the poor petrol station owner? NOT I THINKS!!!

I just drove up to the off licence, it's 200yds away but I had my Haix Tibet Forest boots on and at £175 a pair I figure it's cheaper to drive and save the shoe leather. Passed a couple of disabled people struggling to get to the shops but I did'nt stop to give em a lift cos I didn't want to waste fuel.

Mick...we can save the world together mate

You'll have to make do with a picture for now, it's going to take a bit of practice on this one to get it to top efficiency

BTW Delabodge, I got a four way head for it to make it more efficient, so now it splits four at a time

Thats almost identical to mine Dean, is it 13 tonne??

Have you got the side extensions for the table and the foot peddle??

Dean start a new thread on your shiny new splitter where we can discuss the pros and cons of different makes. I would like to make a few cooments about my 16ton woodline

It's an 18 ton Dave, I ordered it with the foot pedal, side extensions and 4 way, I think it stands me at about £3200

The ram speed it about the fastest they do and it is auto double speed. In other words you pull the levers and it comes down fast till it touches the log, then if needed goes into a slower power speed till the initial break then back to full speed.

So in fuel terms......as efficient as you can get
