funny that bought mine down the pub for £40 :lol::lol:

yes its a high price,but you wont find many like that.

 

mine is in OK condition and it was £180

used it today to cut up a large sycamore limb,when it behaves its a good saw

yes,its a good saw,if you think you can pick one up £150/£200

and they were about £500 new:001_huh:

my 346xp superseeds any saw i own,i love it

always the 1st saw to put my hand on:thumbup:

Been using a 242 a bit lately too (look a bit like a smaller 254) and it's lovely - although it's not meant to be much different weight wise to a 346 is seems to handle differently and feel so much lighter and despite it's age this particualr one still pulls like a good un.

 

Don't make then like they used to :biggrin:

The 254 on eBay looks to be new!! It's in the same town where I live. 254's are supposed to really good. I watched a 242 sell for about £250 not long ago. I had a cheeky bid on a 262 as they're supposed to be one of huskys best saws if not the best. Ended up getting it for £160!! That too can be a bit temperamental. Thinking of swapping the plug as it looks to be the original and retuning the carb. It idles ok, but restarting is a bit hit and miss.

Spark plugs look very simple but do contain resistors and capacitors.These can break down when hot after running for a few seconds or minutes.Therefore you might well get a spark when cold.If in doubt change the plug they only costs a couple of quid.:thumbup:
