Really good photees there:thumbup:

 

David, have you tried reversing the effect? Do you think you'd get the same results with the focal point in black and white and the scene in colour..?

 

It might only work if the focal point was the majority of the picture..?

 

Just thought i'd throw my own 2pence worth in:blushing:

have played with the reverse,

but not sure the 'Outstandanding trees', would 'stand Out' very much :001_rolleyes:

That Oak was pretty remarkable.

The occasion was the second day of the ancient tree forum meet from staverton earlier this year.

 

Amazed me that most of the people in that group wanted to just be up close to it and stood awestruck by it's girth & obvious age.

 

Hardly anyone stood back to soak up the whole scene from a more overarching perspective.

 

That remnant vet from a by gone estate, now fully enveloped by that urban spawl, really did 'stand out'

the ones below are all from in & around London (certainly within the M25), the Scotiish shots are the Balmoral estate & some from around the Staverton estate in suffolk & a couple of the others (horse etc....) are the Basque region of Spain
