unfortunately i have never seen one[only on tv]

i dont think we get them here in south wales

but what a stunning bird :thumbup1:

 

They've been seen all over the UK at the moment -- including North and South Wales, and Devon. Try googling 'waxwing seen [your local area]'. Still looking for my first; never seen one ever.

Brilliant. Haven't seen them in this country since I was a young lad in East Sussex (i.e. a long time ago). Just had the redwings stripping the cotoneaster as usual - in Caterham, not too far from you.

 

Funny you should say that, took a pic of this as well.

my significant other thought it was a Thrush.
