i know about 2 dozen landy owners with them and they all rave about em,,

really is the best option for a good socket/ ratchet set,..

Just noticed your new signature line AD - very, very good. How long before we see that emblazoned on every old Discovery?

took a broken halfords pro ratchet spanner back today, they said that ratchets arnt covered as i could use it as a fixed spanner, said it was the same on socket renches. I went prety mental, what a load of BS! if my snap on ratchets wear out or seaze, even when they start to be less smooth the snap on man slaps a new mechanisim in FOC. I just rang halfords head office thinking the herbet in the shop didn't know what they were doing only to be told that i have a perfectly functional spanner even though the ratchet is broken so im off with a scafold bar a 12.9 end cap bolt & a nut to snap this spanner head in 2!!! & in future i'm only buying more snap on/blue point!

i am a heavy plant fitter and i use halfords stuff pretty much every day it is definatley less quality than the likes of bahco, facom etc i still breakthem on the odd occasion but the stuff that gets heavy usage gets replaced with something better the ratchet spanners are better to use than the snapon ones because the ratchet heads are smaller

Its all i ever buy now seems great value for money and ive only ever broken the lock off a locking extension bar and they replaced it right away.

the little 1/4" set is great for working on saws and seems to be my most used.

When i was 18 i bought a 40 piece set with the "Boxer" wrench with the direction change on the handle, Man has that set taken some abuse! I did crack a 17mm socket but i had hammered it on with a 4lb hammer then used a 6 foot scaffold tube in it to remove a broken locking wheel nut, It still took it off.

The 1/2" locking extension bars are really handy theres bugger all worse than not being able to retrive a socket from way up in some hole.

no issues with the rachet spanners or the nomal ones i have.

weve got a full tengtools set, the big cabinet with 3 tiers, some tools have gone walkies from their original home, but they are all lifetime warranty.

Any other tools that arent teng that we have feel cheaper for some reason, and weve snapped a few that arent teng.

not had much use of halfords kit though.
