Towing with freelander?

well it was ok for pulling our timberwolf two150.. as one of the other guys said there burn the clutch quite quick for hillstarts and i think a two 190 like urs would kill it

hillstarts not too bad as 1st is quite low, but reverse is geared too high for towing.

 

honestly, get a disco.

No such thing as a cheap Defender- overpriced rubbish.

 

Get a Disco or maybe a Fourtrak if you can find one in good nick. Awesome tow motors. 2.8TD knocks the spots off a 200/300TDI for power and economy.

 

The petrol version (Sportrack) are quite popular motors amongst cutters in my neck of the woods.
