You can NOT prune a Plumb tree as there is no such thing

depends how you "prune"? Does it need thinning? reducing? lifting? your plum tree can be pruned but it needs to be done properly (imo) and have you got any images of it? just out of curiosity that is..?

Google 'silver leaf in prunus',& it should tell you when you can prune your tree with no problems of infection.

thanks for the advice and the links ,sorry about the spelling i was three sshits to the wind when i asked the question,!nabour came round with bottle of wine and we oppened some more and it all went down hill from there
