Wet Gear???

Hi everybody

 

Looking for good wet weather gear,maybe hi-viz gore-tex.Just wondering what everyone else uses and could anyone tell me a good place to get them

I used to have ex army gore tex stuff, worked really well, nice and light and extremely tuff! Got stolen tho!

fletcher stewarts are bringing out a new waterproof coat i saw at the show, at a reasonable price...im going to buy one, not sure when they are out though

I use gore tex for ground work but for climbing i use a ventile smock. Ventile is prety dear but its ideal for comfort, its pretty waterproof despite being 100% cotton and it feels warm if you wear it next to your skin, its wind proof yet breatheable and it won't melt if you get sparks from a bonfire on it. It is pretty thornproof and very tough but it is zero stretch so make sure you get the right size.

There are other ones available for rock climbing without hoods and pockets. I cant remember where i saw them.

Howies do some nice ventile stuff but a bit pricy to work in.....

Where do you guys get your gore tex gear from?

I've only used the cheap wet gear and get wet with sweat

Im looking for gore tex orange hi-viz trousers

If you want an excellent fleece which is 100% waterproof and breathable then I can highly reccomend these http://nomaduk.net/'Stealth'%20fleeces.htm

 

Easily reperable with fabric glue if you do tear or rip it!
